Post-Columbus Day thoughts: I have had many occasions lately to count my blessings: a charming note from the mother-of-the-groom thanking me for my support during the recent wedding, a check (w/ "Thanks!" on the memo line) for the full amount of an I.O.U., and an observation from a new customer that my shop was the "heart of the building". Gestures like these warm my heart and are NEVER taken for granted. It reminded me to take even more notice of them and to do my part to generate some of my own to others.

Post-Labor Day thoughts

Thanks to my limber & patient yoga teacher-friend, I am the proud author of my first blog! The skies are grey & dark today, but I'm pleased to be another blip on the techno-landscape. All three coffees are brewing at the moment: dark roast (Black Widow), medium roast (Ethiopian Harrar) and the decaf (Ethiopian Djimmah) - which have all been welcomed by a variety of customers this morning. Oh yes - and it's Daylight Donuts Day, so those add a bit of temptation, as well.
